Avenida Balboa, como se le llama localmente, es la franja costera de 4 kilómetros que se extiende hacia el oeste desde el centro comercial MultiCentro (Paitilla) hasta el Casco Viejo.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_accordion style=”flat” color=”white” c_icon=”” active_section=”0″ no_fill=”true” collapsible_all=”true” el_class=”prop-landing” css=”.vc_custom_1457651792479{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_tta_section title=”Read More About Balboa Avenue Real Estate” tab_id=”1457650958795-31f1f961-ad07″ el_class=”prop-read-more”][vc_column_text]Since 2007, Balboa Avenue has seen a wave of real estate activity including over ten new high rise condominiums, the Star Bay Hilton Hotel and office complex, as well as the famous Intercontinental Hotel, host to the world’s diplomats when they are in town.
While technically in the Bella Vista district, the Balboa Avenue neighborhood is considered by many real estate agents as a “stand alone” neighborhood because of the scope of the real estate offering.
Balboa Avenue apartments are for the most part characterized as having a modern design, a full amenity list such as a pool, gym, concierge and in some cases luxuries such as tennis courts, squash courts, Turkish baths, and even Saunas. Apartments along Balboa Avenue also have — for the most part — direct unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean, thus commanding a higher price point when compared to other apartments in Panama.
With the completion of the Cinta Costera coastal beltline park and highway system in 2010, the Balboa Avenue area experienced a massive face lift and a great easing of the traffic and noise issues that tenants had to deal with in the past.
Balboa Avenue in 2012 is undergoing another wave of development and many experts believe that, once completed, this waterfront district could command some of the highest real estate prices in the city. Current development projects include the expansion of Line One of the Panama Metro project (to include two stops along Balboa Avenue), the renovation of Parque Urraca as well as the extension of the Cinta Costera’s phase three project. Additional plans along Balboa Avenue include a massive government megaplex “Torre Finacial” to begin construction in late 2012 in the former site of the US Embassy.
Points of interest along Balboa Avenue include Parque Urraca, MultiCentro Mall and theatre complex, the Panama Children’s Hospital, as well as the newly renovated Seafood Market. Visitors to Balboa Avenue would be encouraged to stop by Café Boulevard, one of the oldest restaurants in the area frequented daily by some of Panama’s most visible figures in politics and business.
Real Estate prices along Balboa Avenue have for the last few years hovered in the range of $1700 – $2200 per square meter, depending on the age of the property. Buildings of interest along Balboa Avenue include The Allure, Sky Tower, Rivage, Bayfront and GrandBay Tower.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row]
