The town of Coronado is just 15 minutes drive, there you will find 24-hour supermarkets, a wide variety of restaurants, banks, hardware stores, and a small hospital among other conveniences.
In the wider San Carlos area there are a number of other gated communities and the town of San Carlos itself where you will find the local government hospital. The beaches in this area are good for surfing and there are local surf schools to help beginners. There are a number of excellent restaurants along this stretch of the Panamerican Highway and plenty of hiking trails and waterfalls to find on the mountainside of the highway.
