Meet the Team
Kent Davis moved to Panama in 2007 with the goal of starting a small business. Nearly 10 years later, as Partner and Managing Director of Panama Equity, Kent strives to deliver a professional real estate experience through strategic initiatives that help level the playing field for foreign buyers and sellers.
Originally from Hawaii and a graduate of James Madison University, Kent, along with his Panamanian wife and son, is proud to call Panama home. Kent combines a unique understanding of the local real estate market with a firm grasp of foreigner expectations.
When Kent’s not in the office, he loves going on Central American road trips with his family and tending to his rooftop vegetable garden.
Tedd Tennis brings a seasoned understanding of land development to Panama’s most authentic and evolving beach region, the Azuero Peninsula.
Tedd first came to Panama with a passion for deep-water fishing and was drawn to the town of Pedasi, the heart of Panama’s farming and ranching region. His knowledge ranges from project development to land management and farmland, with a chosen area of expertise in beachfront properties and rice farming. Tedd manages the sales teams in Pedasi and Venao, and his region extends as far south as Cambutal.
When Tedd’s not working, you’ll find him either on a golf course or out on the water. Tedd also plays in a band at Pedasi’s most popular cantina once a week.
Born in Panama and educated in the United States, Carlos Camaño intimately understands the nuances of living and investing overseas. Combining an old-fashioned work ethic with an unwavering commitment to finding the right properties, Carlos receives glowing reviews from buyers and sellers alike.
A compliment to his Panamanian real estate license, Carlos also holds degrees in Marketing and International Business (MBA). But as is so often the case with real estate, it is Carlos’ integrity and local knowledge that have earned him one of the region’s most respectable reputations.
When he’s not working, Carlos can be found hiking with his two dogs, playing soccer, or running on the beach. Carlos is also passionate about societal issues affecting Panama’s cultural and economic development.
Andrea is Panama Equity’s Senior Investment Advisor for our Panama City office. Originally from Victoria, Canada, Andrea has been involved in the development, sales and marketing of premier residential communities in Central America since 1998. Recognizing Panama’s tremendous growth potential, Andrea personally invested in oceanfront property in Punta Pacifica in 2003 and permanently relocated to Panama in 2006, where she has become one of the city’s foremost experts in luxury real estate.
Andrea is also our most experienced commercial real estate agent, offering full-service solutions for the purchase and leasing of office and retail spaces, including executive housing searches. She holds a B.A. Honours in Language and Linguistics from Queen’s University and an MBA from Florida International University.
Andrea is an avid fan of Panama City’s burgeoning restaurant scene and spends most of her free time sharing good food and wine with friends. She is also an active member of the British and Canadian Chambers of Commerce, and is currently setting up a non-profit organization dedicated to creating Panama’s first large-scale animal refuge.
Layla Sleiman, originally from Venezuela, graduated with a master’s degree in sales and marketing. Layla’s love of Panama City combined with her enjoyment in helping people realize their goals led her to the real estate industry.
Layla’s unique sense of empathy has led her to great success in the real estate industry, especially when working with relocating families and retirees.
When she’s not working, Layla enjoys exercising, healthy living, and exploring Panama, a country she has now called home for more than 10 years.
Juan Camilo Villegas Juan Camillo Villegas, originally from Medellin, Colombia, lives and breathes investment and market research.
“Camilo” is a veteran who brings more than 20 years of analysis in the sales industry and is focused on investment-geared residential properties in the downtown core of Panama City. He is an expert in finding innovative solutions for his clients and truly appreciates and embraces the nuances of each deal.
Camilo possesses that unique balance of drive and patience; two attributes that have helped him successfully close a high number of complex real estate transactions. His dreams include hiking the Camino de Santiago (Spain) and driving his motorcycle through South America.
Jonathan Clay is a Virginia native and former Peace Corps volunteer who found that his cultural observations of Panama could be put to great use in real estate.
Since joining Panama Equity in 2014, Jonathan established himself as one of Pedasi’s most trusted real estate professionals. He specializes in beachfront property and large development parcels in Las Tablas, Pedasi, Playa Venao, Cañas and Bucaro.
When Jonathan is not out showing property or exploring the Azuero countryside, he is either playing guitar with Pedasi’s most rocking band or playing cultural ambassador to visitors and locals alike.
Tom Richter brings a strong work ethic and an eye for stunning perspectives to Panama Equity as the team’s European market specialist.
Originally from Germany, Tom has an innate commitment to a high level of attention to detail and focuses on finding, packaging, and promoting high-quality properties that meet a European standard.
Tom speaks English, Spanish and German fluently and spends most of his free time exploring Panama’s great interior. He has lived and worked in more than a half dozen countries.
